Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - At the twentieth plenary meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the law “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the state budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021” was considered.

In order to consistently continue the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, socio-economic reforms, further strengthen macroeconomic stability, reduce the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic and improve the welfare of the population, a number of decrees and resolutions of the President have been adopted. In turn, government programs are being implemented in this direction. Ensuring the fulfillment of the tasks defined in them requires additional sources of funding.

For this purpose, amendments are made to the Law on the State Budget for 2021 in terms of the maximum amounts of funds allocated from state trust funds and the republican budget to distributors of budgetary funds of the first level.

In particular, for investment programs, it is envisaged to allocate funds in the amount of 6.0 trillion soums, to finance additional staffing units of individual institutions - 1.4 trillion soums, as well as to maintain and strengthen the material and technical base of defense and law enforcement agencies - 1.4 trillion. soums.

In addition, due to the full use of funds in the amount of 3.0 trillion soums, which were intended for measures to combat coronavirus this year, 1.3 trillion soums will be allocated to create an additional reserve of funds.

The law stipulates the allocation of concessional loans for the creation of preschool educational organizations on the basis of public-private partnerships and additional subsidies in the amount of 1.1 trillion soums in connection with the increase in the coverage of children, as well as the allocation of funds in the amount of 1.3 trillion soums for the construction of the town of "New Andijan "And the development of entrepreneurship in the region.

It should be noted that the Law also determines the sources of coverage for these additional costs.

It is envisaged that these measures, planned for implementation, will be carried out within the approved volume of the deficit of the State budget and state trust funds.
