Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 November, a regular meeting of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis was held. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Senate Tanzila Narbaeva.

A resolution was adopted to convene the forty-seventh plenary meeting of the Senate on 24 November 2023.

It was noted that at the plenary meeting, which will be held using a video conferencing system, a number of issues are planned to be discussed.

Among them are the Constitutional Law “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, aimed at further improving the procedure for holding elections and referendums”, “On soil protection and increasing its fertility”, “On privatization of state property”, “On amendments” and additions to the Criminal, Criminal Procedure Codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Liability” and “On Amendments and Additions to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

In addition, at the next plenary meeting it is planned to consider the laws “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of the system of justice bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at bringing the names into compliance republican executive authorities”, “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

During the Kengash meeting, it was noted that the agenda of the plenary meeting also included laws on the ratification of treaties between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Italian Republic, which reflected a number of issues, and “On the ratification of the Treaty between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan on allied relations (Tashkent, on 22 December 2022)", questions about making changes to the composition of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan and approving resolutions of the Senate Kengash.
