The press-service said that the Council of the Senate held a session and adopted resolution on calling of the eight session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

In line with the decision of the Council, the seventh plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis will be held in Uzbek capital city on 24-25 March 2012.

Senators will consider several laws of Uzbekistan, which are directed at reforming and liberalizing all spheres of political and social-economic life.

Among them are law “On introduction of changes and amendments to law “On guarantees of freedom of entrepreneurship activity”, law “On introduction of changes and amendments to law “On exchange of credit information” and others, directed at further supporting and developing entrepreneurship activity, democratization of state administration reforming legal-judicial system, etc.

Senators will discuss reports of the Prosecutor-General, head of Accounts Chamber, Ombudsperson, head of the State Committee on Nature Protection, and Ministry of Justice on their activities in 2011.

The Senate will also organize parliamentary hearing on execution of the programme on creation of jobs and ensuring employment of population by the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Populations.

The upper house of the parliament will also discuss other issues of its jurisdiction.
