The great attention was paid to consideration of the report of Prosecutor-General Rashid Kadyrov on activity of prosecutor bodies in 2010. It was said that prosecutors conducted 28,363 inspections of law enforcement and they adopted over 350,000 decisions and rehabilitated rights of over 43,000 people.

Besides, the implementation of Anti-Crisis Programme for 2009-2012, Programme on creation of jobs and ensuring employment of population for 2010, as well as execution of laws by state bodies were also supervised in the reporting period. Prosecutors bodies also paid attention to protection rights of businesses and farmers, preventing interference to their activities.

In cooperation with the commission of under ages affairs, the prosecutors bodies supervised implementation of the law in protecting rights of under ages. The carried out work in this direction allowed to cut crimes among under ages by 3.9% year-on-year. Senators adopted a corresponding decision on further improving activity of prosecutor bodies.

Senators also discussed report of the chairperson of the State Committee on Nature Protection N. Umarov. During consideration, Senators underlined importance of ensuring systametic control over execution of laws on protecting environment and rational use of natural resources, improving ecologic situation and ecologic security in Uzbekistan. The State Nature Committee also controls execution of the Action Programme on Environment Protection of Uzbekistan for 2008-2012.

In the result of execution of measures on improving environment, the country decreased emission of pollution by 12,530 tonnes and some 21,600 vehicles were transferred for gas consumption. New technologies on decreasing emission of nitrous oxide to atmosphere were installed at Navoiazot, Ferghanaazot and Maxam-Chirchiq.

Senators underlined that it is necessary further develop potential and use of scientific achievements in protecting nature and rational use of natural resources, introducing ecologic clean and resource saving technologies, execution of the state programmes in this sphere.

Justice Minister Ravshan Muhitdinov presented a report on activities of justice bodies in 2010. Senators noted importance of the work of Justice Ministry on ensuring single state policy in law making and their execution.

In 2010, the justice bodies realized complex measures on ensuring legality of documents, adopted by state bodies. In the reporting period, the ministry issued 40 documents on revision, abolishment or recalling legal acts, which were adopted with violation. The ministry abolished 70 documents, which were adopted in 2008-2010 and not registered in established order.

Senators underlined that it is necessary to strengthen attention to increasing efficiency of the activities of the state bodies, law enforcement and controlling bodies on ensuring implementation of laws.
