Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbaeva, held a meeting with a delegation from the State of Qatar led by the Chairman of the Advisory Council (Shura), Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim.

The Qatari delegation's visit is connected to their participation in the 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

During the talks, the parties discussed the prospects for developing inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar. Special attention was given to strengthening collaboration within international parliamentary organizations and implementing previously agreed-upon high-level arrangements.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify the work of inter-parliamentary friendship groups, continue the implementation of bilateral agreements, and expand the exchange of experiences in legislative activities.
