Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the forty-sixth plenary meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the issue of electing the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for children’s rights (Children’s Ombudsman) was considered.

The Senate adopted a resolution on the election of Surayyo Rakhmonova to the post of Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Children’s Rights (Children’s Ombudsman).

Surayyo Rakhmonova for many years carried out fruitful activities in higher legal educational organizations, as well as in the system of judicial bodies and prosecutors. She is Counselor of Justice of the 1st class, Doctor of Law, Professor.
