Consolidated user’s base of MTS in March increased up 1.3%

MTS net profit up 2.4-fold in 2007

Under US GAAP MTS net profit in Russia was up 2.4-fold to US$1.616 billion in 2007 as compared to 2006, says Leonid Melamed, the company’s president, RBC reports. The company’s revenue reached US$6.181 billion over the accounting period, which is a 32% increase as compared to 2006. OIBDA grew by 35% to US$3.153 billion. OIBDA margin reached 51% in 2007 vs 49.9% in 2006, Cnews reported.
