“Certainly, I would like Bunyodkor to win the continental title. I think we will have equal chances of winning against Pohang Steelers,” he said.
His priority now is to retain the Uzbekistan Cup final when they meet archrivals Pakhtakor in the summit clash on August 8.
The 60-year-old said domestic competitions in this Central Asian country are always a two-horse race and Uzbek clubs need to hire more foreign coaches and players to develop their standards.
