Representatives of the SCO member states, officials of China and mass media participated in the event.

The participants familiarized themselves with information on preparations to upcoming presidential elections, scheduled for 4 December 2016, as wel as legal and institutional framework of voting rights, etc.

Chinese participants underlined importance of upcoming elections for supporting regional stability in Central Asia and special interest to them in the SCO member states.

SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov said that the SCO mission will observe presidential elections in Uzbekistan.
