Regional Minister of Foreign Economic Relations Alexander Kharlov had a working meeting with the heads of the SCO diplomatic missions accredited in Yekaterinburg.
The diplomats discuss several aspects of technical support of the events, which will be held in the SCO summit format, as well as the possibilities to form the regional components of the summit program.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a sub-regional international structure, which unites six states - Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Mongolia, India, Iran and Pakistan have the observer status. The next SCO summit will be held in Yekaterinburg in 15-16 June 2009.
