Representatives of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan participated at the event.

During the session, the participants approved a report of the Council of the SCO RATS on its activity for 2010 and discussed implementation of the programme of cooperation of the SCO in combating terrorism, separatism and extremism for 2010-2012, as well as decisions of the Council of SCO RATS. The participants highly rated activity of the SCO RATS.

The participants developed joint measures of the SCO members on assisting Kazakhstan in ensuring security of the SCO Summit in Astana on 15 June 2011, University Games in Shenzhen, China, and China-Eurasia Fair in Urumqi.

The SCO members developed legal acts on cooperation between the SCO RATS and Counter-Terrorism Committee of the UN Security Council, as well as Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) to establish close interaction with international and regional organizations.

The Council adopted several decisions on organizational-cadre character, financial maintenance of the activity of the SCO RATS and further formation of legal base of cooperation of the SCO member states in combating terrorism, separatism and extremism.

The SCO member states also agreed to hold joint anti-terrorism drills Tian-Shan-2-2011, which will be held on 6 May 2011 in China. The drills are directed at improving military readiness of anti-terrorism divisions and strengthening operative interaction among the SCO competent bodies.

The participants agreed to hold next session of the Council of the SCO RATS in Beijing, China, on 21 September 2011.
