Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 9 December, Acting First Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz" B. Usmanov held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan R.A. Shaikhutdinov, representatives of the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan and Innopolis University.

At the presentation by R.A. Shaikhutdinov acquainted those present with the industrial sector of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as with the achievements in the field of oil production, oil refining and interaction with the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In turn, B. Usmanov informed the guests about the ongoing reforms in the oil and gas sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the current activities of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, ongoing transformation projects, as well as the results achieved in recent years.

Representatives of the educational organization "University of Innopolis" demonstrated to the participants of the meeting presentation materials within the framework of the project activities of ANO VO "University of Innopolis" and proposed solutions in the oil and gas industry, as well as experience of working with the largest oil and gas companies of the Russian Federation (PJSC "Gazprom", PJSC "Gazpromneft", PJSC Tatneft and others).

Priority areas for the development of cooperation between the parties were discussed. The following areas have been identified:

- exchange of experience and obtaining additional professional education in the field of digital transformation and digitalization of the oil and gas sector and IT technologies for top management and specialists of Uzbekneftegaz JSC;

- increasing operational efficiency by automating process control systems (APCS) and technological maintenance and repair (AMS), as well as exploring the possibility of further application of artificial intelligence (predictive analytics of the state of technological equipment and other areas of application);

- the use of artificial intelligence to improve the chemical composition of catalysts produced by Uzbekneftegaz JSC at its own production facility UzCAT regeneration (recovery) of catalysts used at the Uzbekistan GTL plant;

- application of digital platforms developed Innopolis University in the field of modeling technological processes of geological exploration and production of hydrocarbon raw materials;

- the experience of Innopolis University in the field of digitalization of technological and business processes of the company Sibur Digital LLC.

The meeting was marked by the fact that in addition to discussing the possibilities of cooperation, the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the Modeling Center under the Department of Field Development.

As a result of the meeting, foreign partners made a proposal to Uzbekneftegaz JSC to visit the Republic of Tatarstan and the city of Innopolis in order to further intensify joint work.

Innopolis University is a Russian autonomous non-profit organization of higher education in the city of Innopolis (Republic of Tatarstan), specializing in education, research and development in the field of information technology and robotics.

Initially, the university operated in the city of Kazan; since September 2015, the university campus has been opened in the city of Innopolis. Innopolis University trains developers, managers in the field of high technologies and conducts scientific research in the fields of information technology and robotics.
