The tournament is split into two groups. Group A features Bahrain, Lebanon, Qatar and Saudi Arabia while Group B comprises Iraq, Jordan and Kuwait.

Matches take place at the Al Rayyan SC Stadium. The top two teams from each group, at the end of a round-robin, advance to the semi-finals.

The two finalists and the third-placed team, after a bronze medal play-off, advance to next year’s 16-team final in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in May.
