Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee of Uzbekistan ordered the withdrawal of Rinotin Kids syrup from all pharmacies in the country.

Recently, posts criticizing the quality of Rinotin Kids syrup appeared on social networks, where users reported the presence of mold on the lids.

After this, the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee conducted a corresponding study. It was decided to withdraw the syrup from circulation.

It is noted that permission to sell the syrup was revoked in order to prevent possible cases of poisoning among the population.

CYNERGY PHARMCO has been instructed to recall Rinotin Kids syrups produced by Rad Gida Laboratuvarive Ilac Sanayi Ticaret Limited from all retail chains and pharmacies in Uzbekistan.

At the moment, the products have already been seized from 28 pharmacies.

Preventative measures continue.

According to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee, Rinotin Kids syrup is not a medicine, but a dietary supplement. The import of products into Uzbekistan was allowed in April 2022, and a sanitary and epidemiological certificate was received for it confirming its safety.

Citizens are encouraged to check biological products for safety through an electronic catalog posted on the committee’s website.
