Saneg increased gas production at three fields in Kashkadarya

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Saneg increased gas production at three fields in Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan. The company was able to increase gas production at the Chuvama, Kizilrabat and Shurtepa fields through the use of distributed compression technology.

Gas compression is carried out using a modular compressor unit located at the Chuvama gas metering station. At present, the installation has made it possible to double the total gas production - from 104 to 200 thousand cubic meters per day, with subsequent transportation of gas to the Mubarek gas processing plant.

The principle of operation of the MCU is to create a vacuum at the mouths of gas wells connected to the compressor. This allows you to increase production in a single cluster of gas wells with low wellhead pressure.

MCU consists of a gas purification system from mechanical impurities, a compression (compression) line and an oil supply system. The advantage of the installation is mobility, compactness and autonomy of equipment control.

“Since the reservoir energy of the main fields in Kashkadarya region has been depleted due to the depletion of natural gas reserves, Saneg is actively implementing methods to increase gas recovery. MCU is one of them. With their help, we will be able to increase the volume of economically recoverable reserves and increase the productivity of wells that have worked for more than 30 years,” said Tulkin Yusupov, Executive Director of Saneg.

The MCU implementation project was developed jointly with the GRDC scientific and technological center and is being implemented with the contracting company Enter Engineering.

As part of the project, preparatory work is currently underway for the installation of the Northern Maimanak MCU, which will allow compressing more than 450 thousand cubic meters of natural gas per day from the wells of the Northern Maimanak and Rasulkuduk fields of the Saneg Mubarek division.
