Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Tashkent, authorities have disrupted the sale of expired medicines valued at 2.2 billion soums.
The operation was carried out by the Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office and the Anti-Smuggling Department of the Tashkent City Police in the Yunusabad district, where the circulation of expired pharmaceutical products was prevented.
Expired medications were found stored in a non-residential building, managed by individuals responsible for a private enterprise. All seized medicines were confiscated as evidence.
A criminal case has been initiated, and an investigation is underway.
