Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On the eve of the New Year, the Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva visited Palestinian children who are undergoing medical treatment in Uzbekistan.

She conveyed the best wishes and greetings from the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

"Despite all the hardships, they have kept the light in their hearts and faith in miracles, which is truly admirable. I hope that the attention and words of support will give them hope for a better future," said Saida Mirziyoyeva.

She also added, "We wish peace and prosperity to these children and to the long-suffering Palestinian people."

Earlier reports indicated that 100 injured Palestinian women and children, along with their companions, were evacuated to Uzbekistan. The evacuation was carried out at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in cooperation with the health ministries of both countries.

The evacuees will remain in Uzbekistan until it is safe for them to return home. During their stay, they will be accommodated in rehabilitation centers and hospitals, where they will receive necessary treatment and assistance to recover their health.

The government of Uzbekistan will ensure the evacuees’ comfortable stay by providing housing, food, medical care, and educational services for the children, as noted by the ambassador.
