Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan Said Mirziyoyeva held a meeting with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Doha.

The parties discussed the prospects for expanding Uzbek-Qatari relations, as well as the schedule of upcoming bilateral events.

2023 has become a key year in relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar. The summits of the two heads of states in Samarkand (5-6 June 2023) and Doha (2 October 2023) became historic, paving the way for more meaningful cooperation. Uzbek-Qatari relations have acquired new dynamics.

Saida Mirziyoyeva noted that Uzbekistan is interested in the active development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation with Qatar.

“We look forward to close cooperation with our Qatari partners in the implementation of joint projects,” said Saida Mirziyoyeva.
