Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 May, during a two-day visit to Moscow, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin.

During the talks, the two sides discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation, including trade, investment, labor migration, and the training of qualified personnel.

Particular attention was given to the positive dynamics of trade turnover between the two countries and the advancement of joint projects, especially in the industrial and energy sectors. The parties also explored measures to simplify migration procedures, including the possibility of relocating certain stages of the patent application process to Uzbekistan.

The importance of developing interregional cooperation and implementing new educational initiatives was also emphasized — among them, the opening of branches of Russian universities and the launch of an engineering school in partnership with MISIS (the National University of Science and Technology).

As part of the visit, Saida Mirziyoyeva also held meetings with Anton Vaino, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of Russia; his First Deputies Sergey Kiriyenko and Alexey Gromov; Assistant to the President Vladimir Medinsky; and the Chairwoman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko.
