Uzbekistan 03/01/2008 Rustam Azimov becomes Uzbekistan first deputy PM

Azimov has held several cabinet positions until now. He has held the combined posts of deputy prime minister and finance minister and deputy prime minister and economic minister, and has been macroeconomics and statistics minister and minister of foreign economic relations, investment and trade.

Azimov’s appointment is part of a recent government reshuffle by the president.
