Russia’s First Channel shows Uzbek gold-embroidery art

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A programme of the Russia’s First Channel “Hochu znat” (I want to know) showed a video dedicated to gold-embroidery art of Uzbekistan on 17 January 2013.

The crew of the programme led by anchor Mikhail Shirvindt visited Uzbekistan in May 2012 to participae Asrlar Sadosi Festival organized by Fund Forum under aegis of UNESCO. The event was attended by over 200,000 people in last five years.

The Russian crew shot several videos of Uzbekistan, Asrlar Sadosi, rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and its people.

Fund Forum said that the next programme will be dedicated to minarets in Khiva. The programme will be aired on 24 January 2013.
