On 31 May 2012, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution, which approved quota for university in 2012/2013 academic year.

According to Norma, the university will accept 25 people to faculty “Exploitation and serving oil mining objects” and faculty “Drilling oil and gas wells” each.

Faculty “Exploitation and serving gas, gas condensate objects and underground storages” will also receive 65 people. Faculty “Economics and management of oil and gas enterprises” will accept 25 students.

About 40 out of 65 students of the faculty Exploitation and serving gas, gas condensate objects and underground storages” will study due to grants of Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Company.

Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after Gubkin in Tashkent city was founded in line with the presidential resolution from 12 January 2007.

The main goal of the branch is to train high skilled specialists for oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan in line with Russian university’s curriculum and common international requirements.
