Russian TTK to provide access to Internet to Uzbektelecom
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- TTK, one of largest communication operators in Russia, will provide access to Uzbektelecom, a national telecommunication operator of Uzbekistan, to its backbone network.

The press service of the Russian company said that within the agreement of two operators, TTK will provide access to Internet to Uzbektelecom based on its own backbone and partners networks.

Vice President of TTK and head of “Magistral” block Vitaliy Kotov said: “Start of rendering of IP-transit services to largest operator of Uzbekistan is one of important steps in developing of international sales and strengthening of TTK position in one of fast growing telecommunication markets of Central Asia. He said that the company wants to expand its presence in the region.

Habibullo Salibaev, director of department of international cooperation and work with operators of Uzbektelecom, said currently Uzbektelecom has access to networks of many large Russian operators. He said that in the context of development of broadband in Uzbekistan, access to international Internet resources through TTK will allow partially satisfy growing demand of the subscribers.
