Russian President to pay visit to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
President of Russia Dmitriy Medvedev will pay a working visit to Uzbekistan on 13-14 June 2011, the press service of Kremlin said.
The visit will take place on invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov. Other details of the visit were not revealed.
Russia is the largest trade partner of Uzbekistan. Trade turnover between the countries grew by 55.9% from US$823.3 million in the first quarter of 2010 to US$1.284 billion in January-March 2011.
At the same time, the share of Russia in total foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up 22.4% in the first quarter of 2011.
