Uzbek President Islam Karimov saw off the high-ranking guest at Tashkent airport.
Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin paid a working visit to Uzbekistan on 1-2 September. He met his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyayev to discuss cooperation between countries in various spheres. The sides signed several documents on the result of the talks.
After the talks, Uzbek leader Islam Karimov received the Russian official at Durmen presidential residence. The sides considered bilateral relations, cooperation issues and other issues of mutual interest.
Meetings, held during the visit, will serve the further expansion of Uzbek-Russian cooperation and the development of relations in the trade, economic, scientific and technical spheres.
