The visit will take place till November 2008 and it will be followed by the Russian-Uzbek intergovernmental consultations, the official website of the Russian government said.

Vice Prime Minister and the chairperson of the Russian side at the intergovernmental commission Sergey Ivanov said that the commission met on 18 July and considered various issues, including cooperation in fuel-energy sector.

Mr Ivanov also said that the collaboration in industry also considered, including integration of Tashkent Aircraft Production Plant named after Chkalov to United Aircraft Construction Corporation.

He said that the bilateral trade turnover between two states in five months of 2008 increased by 10%. He also said the sides discussed registration of property of Russia in Uzbekistan and vice versa.
