Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Russian company Trek, specializing in the production of sports shoes and travel equipment, has expanded its presence by opening production in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Kommersant with reference to the general director of the company, Alexey Tarasenko.

The head of the company explained that the Trek company in 2023 invested almost US$542,000 in the creation of production sites, including in Uzbekistan.

As a result, the total number of employees of the company increased to 542 people.

The Trek factory for the production of sports shoes and tourist equipment is part of the Perm holding company A.V.T.-Sport. In 2023, the company’s revenue amounted to 1.1 billion rubles (about US$11.9 million). The expected production volume at the end of last year is 400 thousand pairs of shoes.
