Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov and Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyayev hail a package of documents on migration, signed later on Wednesday.

"We have been concerned over migration policy agreements. The two countries’ people have been waiting for them for long," Mirziyayev told an expanded meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.

"A package of documents that protects the interests of labour migrants and will be signed today is very important for many ordinary people," Ivanov said.
