Russia may welcome participation of Central Asia in Turkish Stream
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russian may welcome invitation of the Central Asian states to participate in the Russian-Turkish project on gas supply to Southern Europe, director of the third department of CIS states of the Russian Foreign Minister Aleksandr Sternik said on Thursday.

Invitation of interested countries of the Central Asian to the Russian-Turkish project on supply of gas to Southern Europe will be next step of cooperation in energy sphere, the Russian official said at the international Russian-Turkish conference, RIA Novosti reported.

The Turkish Stream is a proposed pipeline to transport Russian gas to Turkey beneath the Black Sea. The pipeline is expected to continue to a hub on the Turkish-Greek border, from where it could be extended to Southern Europe. The capacity of the pipeline will be 63 billion cubic meters. It will have four lines and deliver 47 billion cubic meters of gas to Turkish-Greek border, where gas hub will be created.
