Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Due to repeated identification of non-compliance with the veterinary and sanitary requirements of a number of importing countries, Rosselkhoznadzor canceled the inspection reports of Starodvorskie Sausages CJSC and introduced restrictions on the supply of finished meat products of the company to Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Vietnam, UAE and Seychelles.
As a result of laboratory tests, the antibiotic Enrofloxacin was found in cooked poultry sausages, and an undeclared food additive called Carrageenan was found in sausages.
Regular consumption of food products with residual Enrofloxacin content creates the precondition for antibiotic resistance, and an excessive amount of Carrageenan in meat products with a cumulative effect can lead to allergic reactions.
