Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 January 2024, Rud Pedersen has been appointed as the new general director of the Korzinka supermarket chain in Uzbekistan.

He joined the company in August 2022 and served as Chief Financial Officer, where he successfully led the transformation of Korzinka’s financial management.

In his new role as CEO, Ruud Pedersen will be responsible for the company’s operations and strategy.

Zafar Khashimov, founder and chairman of the Board of Directors of Korzinka, expressed confidence that Rud Pedersen’s experience and values will help the company reach new heights.

“I am confident that his fresh look, personal qualities and relevant experience will help Korzinka reach a new quality level, continuing to get closer and closer,” noted Zafar Khashimov.

“Now we have big plans and a team that is capable of implementing them. I thank the Board of Directors and shareholders for their trust and express confidence that we will achieve all our goals,” commented Rud Pedersen.

Akmal Asadov, who previously served as acting general director, will remain with the company and serve as deputy general director.
