Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Sanitary Control of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) is visiting Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the delegation examined the activities of Jizzakh Zamin Asali LLC, which produces honey. They assessed the measures taken to prevent diseases, the quality of products and the process of preparing honey for export, and also checked compliance with veterinary and sanitary requirements.

In 2023, Uzbekistan exported 253,000 bee packages for a total amount of US$701,500 to the CIS countries. Of these, 161,000 bee packages were exported from Namangan region, 58,000 from Ferghana region and 34,000 from Tashkent region. It is planned to increase this figure to 300,000 units this year.

Experts studied the state, potential and capabilities of the industry and gave practical recommendations for increasing the volume of honey production and processing.
