Rosatom signs a memorandum of cooperation with the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices and State Unitary Enterprise “GCESLSIMNMT”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 June, a ceremony of signing a memorandum of cooperation between Rusatom Healthcare JSC (Health Technologies Division of Rosatom State Corporation, the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices and the State Center for Expertise and Standardization of Medicines, Products) was held in Samarkand medical purpose and medical equipment of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The document was signed by the General Director of JSC Rusatom Healthcare, a division accumulating the expertise of the State Corporation Rosatom in the field of healthcare, Igor Obrubov, President of the Board of the Eurasian Academy of Good Practices Vladislav Shestakov, Director of the State Center for Expertise and Standardization of Medicines, Medical Devices and Medical technicians of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirzokhid Kodirov.

The Ministers of Health of Uzbekistan and Russia Amrillo Inoyatov and Mikhail Murashko attended the ceremony as guests of honor.

The parties agreed to develop long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of ensuring the safety, efficacy and quality of medicines and pharmaceutical substances in the EAEU space.

In particular, joint participation in scientific, practical and educational projects is planned.

“Rosatom approaches the issue of implementing its tasks in the field of healthcare in the most comprehensive way. Our work in this area includes the isotope complex and the production of radiopharmaceuticals, the production of high-tech medical equipment, the processing of medical devices and food with ionizing radiation, and our own medical infrastructure facilities. is one of the world leaders in the production of medical isotopes. We are pleased to have the opportunity to develop innovative technologies of the peaceful atom together with friendly states to increase the duration and improve the quality of life of citizens of our states,” said Igor Obrubov.

Vladislav Shestakov noted the importance of sharing best practices at the EAEU level. “Educational programs have been implemented on the basis of the Academy, which can be in demand by employees of the Uzbek Center for Expertise and Standardization of Medicines and specialized structures of Rosatom. It is also possible to develop exclusive advanced training courses commissioned by our partners. And, of course, Academy experts are ready to participate in joint projects in the field of pharmaceutical engineering and good manufacturing practices,” Vladislav Shestakov emphasized.

For his part, Mirzokhid Kodirov focused on the prospects for the development of a single pharmaceutical market through partnership with reputable experts.

“The priorities for us are the quality, safety and efficacy of medicines, medical devices and medical equipment,” he said. “And we are extremely interested in strengthening partnerships with Russian colleagues, ensuring drug safety and improving the quality of life of our citizens.”
