Road accident involving two Mercedes Benz trucks occur in Samarkand region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 January 2024 at 23:30, the Samarkand region traffic police received a report of a serious accident that occurred at about 23:00 on the M-37 highway.

The incident occurred on a 4-kilometer section of the road passing through Samarkand region. This was reported by the Road Safety Service of the Department of Public Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to preliminary information, a Mercedes Bens truck was transporting 21 tons of lemons from the Republic of Turkiye to the Republic of Kazakhstan, moving along the Navoi-Samarkand route. The driver lost control of the steering and stopped on the right side of the road.

While the truck was moving, another Mercedes Bens Astros truck was moving behind it. It moved and stopped ahead. As a result of an unexpected rear-end collision, the Mercedes Benz truck crashed into the rear of the Mercedes Benz truck, causing an accident.

As a result of the Mercedes Bens truck accident, a fire occurred that completely destroyed the vehicle and its cargo. There were no injuries as a result of the accident.

The investigation department at the Samarkand district traffic police department is conducting a pre-investigation check of this case to find out all the details and establish the cause of the accident.
