The Brazilian star is preparing for Wednesday’s opening match between his own Uzbekistan club and Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ittifaq.
Rivaldo joined the club last summer and helped them to the semi-finals of the 2008 Asian Champions League and the Uzbek title.
"The Asian Champions League is the biggest tournament in Asia,” the 2002 World Cup winner told a press conference in the Uzbek capital.
“I won the UEFA Champions League several years ago. And now I want another Champions league success. I aim to help my Bunyodkor team-mates as much as possible through my experience."
Head coach Amet Memet also thinks that Rivaldo’s influence will be crucial.
"We try to win this game because it is a very important match for both teams. My players are ready for the match," he said.
"We have two equal squads and anyone might play against Saudis. I hope, Rivaldo`s great experience will be useful for us."
The other two teams in Group D are Al Shabab of UAE and Iran’s Sepahan.
