Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The state-owned company "Khududgaztaminot" reported a revenue of 8.38 trillion soums in the first half of 2024, a 57% increase compared to the same period of last year.

According to the company’s report, published on the Unified Corporate Information Portal, gross profit grew by 31.8%, reaching 1.16 trillion soums. However, the cost of gas sold increased by 61%, totaling 7.22 trillion soums.

Administrative and operating expenses rose by 24%, amounting to 584.2 billion soums. The company’s profit from core activities stood at 593.18 billion soums.

In financial terms, income decreased to 15.4 billion soums, a 43.6% drop, largely due to a decline in foreign exchange gains. Losses from currency fluctuations decreased by 36.7%, amounting to 59.74 billion soums, but interest expenses rose by more than 25%, reaching 255.1 billion soums.

The company’s net profit totaled 229.97 billion soums, which is twice as much as in the same period last year. The company paid 63.77 billion soums in profit tax, a 27.9% increase compared to the previous year.

As of June 2024, the company’s assets amounted to 13.34 trillion soums, an increase of nearly 1 trillion soums, mainly due to a rise in accounts receivable. The company’s liabilities increased by 739 billion soums.
