Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A body of a man was found in the Burjar canal, one of the victims of an accident in which three people drowned, in Tashkent.

The incident occurred in Chilanzar district.

According to preliminary data, a five-year-old boy fell into the water while playing on the embankment, and a woman tried to save him, but both drowned due to the strong flow. A man rushed to their aid, but also died due to the strong flow.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the deceased woman and child were Russian citizens and were mother and son, and the man was a Chinese citizen. They did not know each other.

Currently, the Chilanzar District Prosecutor’s Office is conducting a pre-investigation check of this incident.
