Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 26 to 28 June 2024, the Mobile World Congress (MWC Shanghai 2024) was held in Shanghai, China. Huawei, a regular participant in MWC in both Barcelona and Shanghai, showcased the potential of commercial 5G-Advanced network launches, innovations for commercial 5G-A network deployment, and AI-powered devices.
A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Jamol Mahsudov, visited Huawei’s stand.
Huawei experts demonstrated how the commercial rollout of 5G-A networks and AI-powered devices will enable the widespread adoption of intelligent services, accelerate the digital transformation of vertical industries, influence content creation, and create new prospects for the mobile industry.
Following the visit to the exhibition area, a series of negotiations were held with Huawei representatives to discuss the current development of mobile networks in Uzbekistan and future plans for the implementation of the "Digital Uzbekistan 2030" strategy.
Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Jamol Mahsudov highly appreciated Huawei’s contributions to strengthening and developing the ICT infrastructure over the past 25 years in the country and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation in implementing advanced technologies. To this end, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at cooperation in the development of indoor coverage networks.
In addition to the delegation of government representatives and telecom operators, Huawei’s stand was visited by students from Uzbekistan who participated in the China Digital Exploration Tour. At the stand, the students not only learned about innovations but also interacted with Mr. Wang Shunli, Vice President for the Middle East and Central Asia region.
