Representatives of the Spanish hotel chain Paradores visit Samarkand and Bukhara

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4-5 January, representatives of the Spanish company Paradores paid working visits to Samarkand and Bukhara regions.

Within the framework of the visit, on 4 January, a meeting was held between the commercial director of the Spanish hotel chain H. Campos and his assistant M. Sotos with the deputy khokim for tourism development of the Samarkand region B. Nurullaev and the director of the department for tourism development of the region D. Narzikulov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation. Representatives of the Spanish hotel chain provided information on the main activities of the company aimed at the development of the hotel business, in particular in the organization of hotel services in historic buildings.

In turn, the tourism potential of the city of Samarkand and the development of tourist infrastructure were noted as the deputy khokim for the development of tourism in Samarkand region. After negotiations, guests from Spain got acquainted with the tourist sites of the city, historical monuments.

The next day, on 5 January, representatives of the Spanish hotel chain H. Campos and M. Sotos met with the deputy khokim of Bukhara region for tourism development B. Shakhriyorov and the director of the department for tourism development of the Bukhara region O. Hakimov. The Department of Tourism Development of the Bukhara region also discussed issues of cooperation between the parties.

During the meeting, the commercial director of Paradores made several recommendations on the rational use of historical sites and their conservation for tourism. At the end of the meeting, the Spanish guests were also able to get acquainted with the historical monuments of ancient Bukhara.

Following the results of two regional meetings, representatives of the Uzbek side expressed their willingness to assist in the implementation of joint projects with a Spanish company.
