Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to ensure the execution of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan given during the state visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt on 19-20 February 2023, a visit of leading representatives of the Egyptian jewelry industry to Uzbekistan was organized, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reports.

On 26 February, the Chairman of the Jewelery Committee of the Arab Republic of Egypt Ihab Wassef, the founder of the jewelry company "Kirmena Jewelery" Mamdukh Abdallah Gabala, the founder of the company "King Gold" Fayzi Shaker and the professor of the University "Helwan" Karam Mosaad Ahmed Mohamed Farag arrived in Uzbekistan and are currently getting acquainted with the jewelry production of our country.

To study the Uzbek jewelry market, members of the delegation visited the Oltin Markazi complex located in Chilanzar district, where they analyzed the quality and prices of local and foreign jewelry.

During the visit, a number of meetings will also be organized with specialists from the Gold Moon Tashkent (Fonon), UzGold and Silk Way Jewelery jewelry enterprises, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine and Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry.

On 28 February, the delegation members are scheduled to visit Tashkent and Bukhara regions, where they will meet with regional khokims and local jewelers.
