The visit of SK C&C delegation to Tashkent is a part of implementation of agreements, reached during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to South Korea in September 2012. The cooperation in communication and information sphere between two states is developed in line with the inter-state, intergovernmental and inter-departmental documents.

During the meeting, the sides considered issues of developing mutual beneficial cooperation in telecommunication and ICT sectors. They also exchanged opinion on perspective directions of developing information technologies, the press service of the Uzbek committee said.

Underlining high level of the Uzbek-South Korean bilateral cooperation, representatives of SK C&C expressed wish and intention to develop its activities in Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, the sides considered opportunities on establishing mutual beneficial cooperation in developing software and information systems, databases within the project “Electronic government”, introduction of software and information systems in key sectors of economy, etc.

Within the visit, the delegation of SK C&C will hold negotiations at several ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.
