Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of expanding international cooperation in Uzbekistan’s electrical engineering sector, a delegation from the Chinese company Mega Energy, led by Technical Director Mr. Wei Xing, paid a visit to local enterprises.

The guests toured the facilities of Uzkabel and Artikul Asia Cable, accompanied by representatives of the Uzeltechsanoat Association. The purpose of the visit was to discuss potential forms of collaboration within the framework of Mega Energy’s large-scale energy project in Uzbekistan — the construction of a 150 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in the Syrgeli district.

The parties thoroughly reviewed proposals for the supply of DC cables and 35 kV electrical cables required for the project. The Chinese delegation familiarized themselves with the production lines, technological processes, product range, and the existing quality control systems at the Uzbek enterprises.

The high level of compliance of the products with international standards drew significant interest from the visitors. Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached to commence mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, including practical collaboration on supplying cable and conductor products for the Mega Energy project.

This visit marked an important step toward strengthening bilateral partnership and clearly demonstrated the growing international reputation of Uzbekistan’s electrical engineering industry.
