Rent-car service to be introduced in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
As part of the implementation of the recently adopted decisions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on development of tourism, work has begun on arranging rent-car services in cooperation with private companies, the press service of the State Committee for Tourism said.
Entrepreneurs expressed their interest and prepared samples. Bukhara along with other tourist centers - Tashkent, Samarkand and Khorezm, will be the first cities where, as an experiment, this service will be launched.
The service includes renting a car without a driver for a certain period of time (from several hours to several months). For the registration of the lease, in addition to the passport, foreign nationals will require an international driving license.
The resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 3 February 2018 “On measures to ensure accelerated development of domestic tourism” envisages development and implementation of the Regulations on renting cars by the end of April.
The Regulation will take into account that citizens of Uzbekistan and foreign tourists will be able to rent a car for up to 30 days without a notary registration and registration at the internal affairs bodies.
