Remittances volume between Uzbekistan and Russia hit US$1.596bn in 3Q
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of money transfers between Uzbekistan and Russia made up US$1.596 billion in the third quarter of 2011, the Central Bank of Russia said.

According to the Central Bank, the volume of remittances made up US$1.054 billion in the same period of 2010. The growth rate made up 51.42%.

Total sum of money transfers from Russia to Uzbekistan increased from US$990 million in the third quarter of 2010 to US$1.507 billion in the same period of 2011. The growth rate made up 52.22%.

The average sum of transaction from Russia to Uzbekistan grew from US$637 to US$660 in the reporting period, the regulator noted.

The Russian bank said that the volume of money transfers from Uzbekistan to Russia reached US$89 million in the third quarter 2011 against US$64 million in the same period of 2010. The average transaction sum rose from US$1,570 to 1,641.

Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Ukraine made up TOP-3 of the CIS countries with the largest volume of remittances from Russia. The volume of money transfer between Russia and Tajikistan made up US$1.076 billion and between Russia and Ukraine – US$752 million.

The Central Bank of Russia monitors such money transfer systems as Anelik, BLIZKO, Coinstar Money Transfer, Contact, InterExpress, Migom, MoneyGram, PrivatMoney, UNIStream, Western Union, Aziya Express, ALLYUR, Blitz, Bystraya Pochta, Zolotaya Korona and LIDER, as well as Pochta Rossii.
