Remittance turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia hits US$4.575bn in 2011
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total volume of money transfers between Uzbekistan and Russia made up US$4.575 billion in 2011 against US$3.072 billion in 2010 (+48,92%), the Central Bank of Russia said in its report.

The volume of remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan grew from US$2.845 billion in 2010 to US$4.262 billion in 2011. The growth rate made up 49.81%.

Average sum of one operation from Russia to Uzbekistan increased from US$584 to US$602 in the reporting period, the regulator said.

The Russian Central Bank said that the volume of money transfers from Uzbekistan to Russia reached US$313 million in 2011 compared to US$227 million in 2010 (+37.88%) and average sum of one transaction rose from US$1,375 to US$1,616.

Uzbekistan leads on the volume of transactions among the CIS states in the reporting period. Tajikistan and Ukraine followed Uzbekistan. The volume of Tajikistan and Ukraine with Russia made up US$3.166 billion and US$2.607 billion respectively in 2011.

The volume of money transfers between Uzbekistan and Russia grew from US$900 million in the fourth quarter of 2010 to US$1.203 billion in the same period of 2011 (+33.66%).

Total sum of money transfers from Russia to Uzbekistan made up US$1.126 billion in the last quarter of 2011 against US$836 million in the same period of 2010, and from Uzbekistan to Russia rose from US$63 million in the fourth quarter of 2010 to US$87 million in the same period of 2011.

The Central Bank of Russia monitors such money transfer systems as Anelik, BLIZKO, Coinstar Money Transfer, Contact, InterExpress, Migom, MoneyGram, PrivatMoney, UNIStream, Western Union, Aziya Express, ALLYUR, Blitz, Bystraya Pochta, Zolotaya Korona and LIDER, as well as Pochta Rossii.
