Remittance turnover between Uzbekistan and Russia grows by 45.52%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total volume of money transfers between Uzbekistan and Russia grew from US$624 million in the first quarter of 2011 to US$908 million in the same period of 2012. The growth rate made up 45.52%, the Central Bank of Russia said in its report.

Total sum of remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan rose from US$562 million to US$824 million in the reporting period. The growth rate made up 46.62%.

Average sum of one operation from Russia to Uzbekistan made up US$523 in January-March 2012 against US$511 in the same period of 2012, the regulator said.

The Russian Central Bank said that the volume of money transfers from Uzbekistan to Russia reached US$85 million in the first quarter of 2012 compared to US$62 million in the same period of 2011 (+37.1%) and average sum of one transaction rose from US$1,388 to US$1,621.

Uzbekistan leads on the volume of transactions among the CIS states in the reporting period. Tajikistan and Ukraine followed Uzbekistan. The volume remittance of Tajikistan and Ukraine with Russia made up US$614 million and US$574 million respectively in January-March 2012.

The Central Bank of Russia monitors such money transfer systems as Anelik, BLIZKO, Coinstar Money Transfer, Contact, InterExpress, Migom, MoneyGram, PrivatMoney, UNIStream, Western Union, Aziya Express, ALLYUR, Blitz, Bystraya Pochta, Zolotaya Korona and LIDER, as well as Pochta Rossii.
