Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced a reduction in the state registration fees for certain types of vehicles.
According to information published on the Ministry of Justice’s legal information channel, the registration fee for hybrid vehicles is now set at 1.5 sizes of basic estimated value (BEV, 562,500 soums).
This change also applies to electric vehicles, motorcycles, mopeds, scooters, and trailers, which previously had different fee structures.
The 6.84 sizes of BEV (2,565,000 soums) rate will continue to apply to other vehicle categories, as established earlier this year in spring.
Additionally, the fee for issuing license plates for motorcycles, electric motorcycles, mopeds, scooters, and trailers has been reduced to 1.5 sizes of BEV, down from the previous rate of 1.75 sizes of BEV (656,250 soums). The same reduced fee will apply to the issuance of a new license plate in cases of loss or damage.
The charge for a duplicate vehicle registration certificate, previously set at 1 size of BEV (370,000 soums) or 70% of BEV (262,500 soums), has been eliminated. The fee for a duplicate temporary vehicle registration certificate, which was 5 sizes of BEV (1,875,000 soums), has also been abolished.
These adjustments aim to streamline processes and reduce financial burdens on vehicle owners.
