Reconstructed rooms for children with limited abilities opened in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva, Uzbek ambassador to UNESCO and founder of the Uzbekistan 2020 Fund, opened back-fitted and vamped rooms for children with limited abilities in one of the Tashkent houses for children with limited abilities, left without parental care.

A total of 41 children, aged 4-12, with various physical and psychical disabilities, will live, study and play in rooms, back-fitted with the conceptually new approach. Thorough repair in five bedrooms, rooms for studying and playing, dining hall, terrace and swimming pool have been done with consideration of recommendations of the leading psychologists and doctors.

“The children are special and the approach should also be special. We tried to create all the conditions, necessary for comfortable and safe staying of children, as well as encouraging their development” said Karimova-Tillyaeva.

Lola Karimova helps disabled childrenSpecial sensor room, equipped with the latest technologies, which is the second in the country* was established in the house. The children, staying in the room independently or with specialists, explore everything, being surrounded by various encouraging facilities.

Special private places were created for each child in bedrooms to help them in self-identification. The walls were beautifully decorated with drawings, which encourage development of the fantasy, help children to recognize and remember various objects. The play ground was established in the yard. And of course, children should feel that they are children – now the house is full of toys.

The first sensor room in Uzbekistan has been established in the Center for Social Adaptation of Children, at the initiative of Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva, the founder of the RCSAC in 2008.
