The traditional republican contest of students at the academic lyceums and professional colleges entitled "Do you know the law" has completed in Jizzakh, UzA reports.
The Central council of Kamolot public youth movement and Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan are reported to have organized the event.
The contest aimed to establish the respect towards law among the young men and women and raise their legal knowledge.
The teams from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent participated in the contest.
The jury tested the teams on their knowledge of the nation’s Constitution, family and labor codes, laws on protecting the social and political, economic rights of people, as well as the relevant resolutions by Uzbek Cabinet of Ministers. Besides, the individual stage appearances of students have also been appraised, according to the report.
The top prize went to the "Ahuramazda" team of the academic lyceum No.2 at the Karshi State University, which has led in all contest terms. The "Khumo" Group of the specialized school No.2 in Jizzakh Province has secured the first prize. The teams from Khorezm Province and the city of Bukhara embraced other victories, the report said.
