PVEP to invest US$30m to Uzbek project
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Petrovietnam Exploration & Production (PVEP), a part of state oil group Petrovietnam, is to invest US$30 million to exploration of oil and gas in Uzbekistan.
PVEP said in a statement it signed a contract with state oil company Uzbekneftegaz on 29 January, under which PVEP would drill three wells for exploration over the next five years in the Kossor block covering 5500 square kilometres.
The contract opens great opportunities for Vietnam to penetrate the high-potential field of oil and gas in Uzbekistan in particular and Central Asia as a whole.
